Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department and Tribal Affairs Choudhary Zulfkar Ali met Gyan Singh, Minister for Tribal Welfare and Scheduled Castes Welfare in Madhya Pradesh Government and discussed the functioning of tribal affairs department in the state. The Minister also visited Tribal Museum and various institutions meant for tribal welfare.Choudhary Zulfkar Ali held meeting with Tribal Affairs Minister of MP and Tribal Department Commissioners, Secretaries and senior level officers in the MP Mantralya (Secretariat) and discussed various issues related to tribals.

The Minister was briefed about various schemes being implemented by MP Government for the welfare of the tribals in the state. He was briefed about the schools being run by Tribal Department and hostels being managed by the department for the students of tribal community.

The Ministers was apprised that Government of India is providing huge funds for the welfare of tribals in MP and same lines can be followed by J&K in getting funds from the Centre. He was also briefed about scholarship schemes, Hostel schemes, free books and uniform criteria and about tribal Ashrams being run by the state government.Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali congratulated Gyan Singh, MP’s Minister for Tribal Welfare and Scheduled Castes Welfare for making this department vibrant in the state.  He said that they want to strengthen tribal department in the state of J&K and they need help of MP Tribal department. He also invited Tribal Minister along with his senior staff to J&K which was agreed by the MP Minister.

MP Minister also lauded the role of Chief Minister of J&K Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for his efforts in creation of Tribal Ministry in the state for the first time in history and congratulated both Mufti and Zulfkar for their efforts in welfare of tribal community.Meanwhile Minister also conducted field visit of Tribal Hostels in Coaching Centres and Model Schools in various areas of Bhopal city and was impressed upon the functioning of these institution in the area. The Minister also visited Tribal Museum and Bharat Museum and requested Central Government to provide sufficient funds so that J&K can also establish such museum in the state.The Minister thanked Gyan Singh, Minister for Tribal Welfare and Scheduled Castes Welfare and his team for their cooperation.
