Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his family members took to the social media to enlist people's support for the new state capital Amaravati, the foundation stone of which will be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.Several people posted their selfies in support of the capital on microblogging site twitter after Naidu and his family members started the trend.Naidu posted a picture, in which he is seen carrying a slate with "#ManaAmaravati ManaRajdhani" (Our Amaravati our capital).

Naidu's wife Bhuvaneswari, son N. Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmani also posted their pictures seeking people's support. "Take a picture with #ManaAmaravatiManaRajdhani written on white paper or slate and support #Amaravati," they advised people."As people's capital, #Amaravati is seeking your support. Take a selfie with hashtag #ManaAmaravati-ManaRajdhani," tweeted Lokesh, who is also general secretary of the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Lokesh has also posted a picture of his child Devaansh.Several state ministers and MPs followed suit. TDP workers and others also posted their pictures.
