High Court holds Full Court Reference to remember Justice Ghosh

The Chief Justice of J&K High Court, Justice N. N. Paul Vasantha Kumar today expressed heartfelt condolence with the family members of late Justice Barin Ghosh during a Full Court Reference held here.The Reference was also attended by Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, Justice Muzaffar Hussain, Justice Hasnain Masood, Justice Ali Mohammad Magray, Advocate General, Mr. Jahangir Iqbal Ganai, Judicial Officers and Law Officers, Assistant Solicitor General and other officers of the court.The Chief Justice while expressing his sympathies with the members of bereaved family said that Justice Barin Ghosh was an eminent jurist, blessed with sharp intellect and profound knowledge of law.  He was known for his administrative skills and holds a special place in the history of this court, he said.

The Chief Justice said that the deceased delivered many landmark judgments that found prominence in law journals. He was a fine human being and his demise has created a hard to fill vacuum in the legal field, Chief Justice said.The proceedings were conducted by Registrar General of High Court, Kaneez Fatima.One minute silence was also observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul.The Advocate General, offered the condolences and stated that Justice Barin Ghosh was great Jurist and a noble soul. His judgments are lucid and profound, he said.
