Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has invited Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani through to the country.According to a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat Conference (G) spokesman said Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit has sent a written letter Geelani in which he had formally invited him to Pakistan. The spokesman said that Pakistan has assured full support to the Kashmiri nation on political, diplomatic and moral fronts in the letter. The spokesman said Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit had invited Syed Ali Geelani at his Tilaknagar New Delhi residence where he handed over the letter of Pakistan Prime Minister to him.Quoting from the letter, the spokesman said that Pakistan in clear terms has promised granting of right to self determination of the people of Kashmir and said that it is the unfinished agenda of the Pakistan formation and ignoring of this agenda can never establish friendly relationship between the two countries.

The United Nations has accepted the right to self determination of the Kashmiri people and it is the responsibility of the entire civilized world to hold free and fair referendum in Jammu & Kashmir. On the occasion the deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan Mansoor Ahmad Khan and other high commission officials were also present there while as personal secretary to Syed Ali Geelani, Peer Saifullah, secretary public relation Altaf Ahmad Shah and Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar also participated in the function. While paying rich tributes to the resolve, determination, commitment, straight forwardness and sacrifices of Syed Ali Geelani, Prime Minister Pakistan in his letter said that “your character and your actions are guiding principles for the coming generations of the Kashmir and I am inviting you to the Pakistan so that I too can gain something from your views on the present situations. Hope that you will spare time to visit Pakistan at the earliest”. '

Nawaz Sharif said that Kashmir is not any border dispute but it is the issue of right to self determination of 20 million Kashmiri people and we had told in clear terms to India that there are no possibilities available for any progress in the mutual relation of the two countries without addressing the Kashmir issue. The only reason of the cancellation of the NSA level talks was that Indian was reluctant to discuss Kashmir on the table. Pakistan Prime Minister said that “we want friendly and cordial relations with all the neighboring countries including India but the unrealistic approach of India has always spoiled our desire and it is the major hurdle in our peace efforts with this country”. Instead of solving the issues amicably and on the table, India want to use its military might and this attitude is increasing the instability and political uncertainty in the entire sub-continent day by day.

Mian Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan is the center of hope for whole Muslim ummah and particularly to the Kashmiri Muslims and to meet these hopes we want Economic Development, Social Justice and Lasting Peace for this country so that it will play the role of a strong and important Muslim state. While terming the role of the Hurriyat (G) Conference as historical, Pakistan Prime Minister expressed his hope that this forum will continue its struggle in any way under the fearless and honest leadership of Syed Ali Geelani and Pakistan will continue to play its role in this struggle with firm resolve and consistency.Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that Syed Ali Geelani has accepted the Pakistan invitation and said that after Almighty Allah, the Pakistan is the only visible hope for Kashmiris who openly supports the Kashmir cause and advocates it on the international forums.
