National Lok Adalat held at Kargil

The National Lok Adalat for disposal of criminal compoundable matters was convened in district Kargil. Two benches were constituted, one headed by CJM Kargil and another by JMIC Zanskar. The benches collectively took seven cases, four by the bench headed by CJM Kargil and three by the bench headed by JMIC Zanskar. The bench   headed by CJM Kargil also took two matters relating to payment of maintenance to the applicants. The bench headed by CJM Kargil disposed off three cases out of total of four cases while as  JMIC Zanskar disposed of all three cases taken up by the bench for disposal. The bench headed by CJM Kargil also directed the payment of compensation of Rs 5000 by the accused to the victim/injured in one criminal compoundable matter and also directed the non-applicant/husband to pay maintenance of Rs 5000 towards the applicant.
