The Bharitiya Janta Party leader and State Minister for Public Health Engineering Sukhnandan Kumar Saturday while blaming National Conference for stopping his cavalcade on Friday near Narbal area of Budgam said that he has asked the Director General of Police to initiate immediate enquiry into the matter.“Yes I have asked the DGP to initiate an immediate enquiry into the stopping of my cavalcade near Narbal. The fact is that Road was blocked by some NC people. They did not allow me to move. Though I have not sought suspension of the concerned SHO but yes stopping me was breach of security,” Sukhnandan Kumar told KNS over phone.
He claimed that whole episode was created by some people of National conference. “It was done by some activists of National conference. They compelled me to walk about 1. 50 KM on foot,” the minister said. It was reported that the minister has sought suspension of SHO Magam after his cavalcade was stopped by people in Narbal area of Budgam district on Friday.Officials had said that Public Health Engineering Minister Sukhnandan Kumar was stopped by the people Fridayafternoon after he was returning to Srinagar from tourist resort Gulmarg after night stay. The people, according to officials stopped the Minister to apprise him about acute shortage of water in their area.It was also reported that the several PDP Ministers had opposed any action against the police officer after they came to know about the BJP Minister’s demand.
