To fulfill the career dreams of rural youth and project affected people (PAPs) from coal projects, Shri Piyush Goyal,Union Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy performed foundation laying ceremony of Skill Development Centre at Supervisory Training Institute (STI) for self employment and skill development in health sector at Parmanand Rehabilitation Centre at Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, under the aegis of Western Coalfields Limited ( WCL), today. 

While addressing the huge gathering of villagers and WCL personnel Shri. Goyal appreciated the unique imitative taken by WCL to help the youth of mining areas for their career advancement of 2000 youth annually and told that WCL has targeted for skill development of 6000 youth and PAPs of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh in a year, to build their career and make them self dependent. He also appreciated the achievement of record land acquired of 1851 hectare and compensation of Rs. 445 crore, given by WCL during last ten months. Shri Goyal announced that in coming three years, eight (8) projects will be opened by WCL in Madhya Pradesh region. He called upon the youth to take maximum benefit of this extraordinary initiative of the company. 

Goyal also felicitated twenty trained youths in STI Chhindwara for their good performance. Later Shri Goyal visited Parasia, where foundation lying of Barkuhi hospital as Central Hospital of Barkuhi with state of art technology was performed by him. Shri Goyal also announced Eco- Tourism Park at Newton Township of Parasia and Start of excavation work of Jamuniya Pathar (Under Ground) mine of Pench Area of Western Coalfields Limited. Local leaders, Member of Parliament of Bhandara Shri Nanabhau Khandole, Shri Gauri Shankar Bisen, Choudhary Chandrabhan Singh, Shri Ramesh Dubey, Shri. Ramesh Popli, Shri. Tarachand Bawaria and villagers were prominently present apart Chairman cum Managing Director of Western Coalfields Limited Shri Rajiv R. Mishra, Director Technical, Shri S. S. Malhi, Director Personnel Dr. Shri. Sanjay Kumar, personnel of WCL, during the programme.
