Full dress rehearsals were held at all the district and Tehsil headquarters of the Kashmir Valley in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.At Srinagar, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon after unfurling the national flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past of full dress rehearsal at Bakshi Stadium here today.The march past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, BSF, Women Police, State Disaster Response Force, Fire and Emergency Services and school children of various educational institutions besides contingents of Forest Protection Force also took part in the march past.A variety of colourful cultural programmes were presented by students of Educational Institutions in collaboration with Information, Youth Services & Sports Departments and Cultural Academy.
On the occasion, Inspector General of Police Kashmir, Syed Javaid Mujtaba Gillani, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, divisional and senior Police officers were present.At Baramulla, a colourful full dress rehearsal was conducted at Police Lines Baramulla today. Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad unfurled the national flag and took salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and school children besides Army Band participated in the march past.
