With the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) appearing keen to lead the next government in Jammu and Kashmir, the senior leader of BJP and Union finance minister Arun Jaitley Thursday said that all options are open for the party on the government formation and assumed that the party high command is the final authority to decide on future course of action. He also said that he will forward the message of the newly elected MLA’s to the party high command about the formation of government.

According to KNS Jammu correspondent Arun Jaitley who arrived Jammu on Thursday afternoon chaired a meeting with the newly elected BJP MLA’s and the other senior leaders of the party.“Jaitley who arrived here was accompanied by the Dr Jitendar Singh, Ram Madhav and Ral lal attended the meeting with the New MLAs.Besides the party matters he took their opinion about the possibilities of the formation of the government,” A senior BJP leader told KNS and added that the meeting also discussed about who should be the leader of legislative assembly. After the meeting Jaitley while talking to media said that many options are open for the BJP on government formation in the state. “PDP has slightly more seats than us, but popular vote is with the BJP,” jaitley said adding BJP had the best strike rate in Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.”

He further said that he talked to every state leader of the BJP about how to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir. “As for the wishes of the state party leaders all the view points of each leader were considered,” he said.It is to mention here that BJP president Shah had said that the party is keeping "all options" open towards government formation in J&K and has deputed a two-member team led by Arun Jaitley to hold talks with the party's newly-elected MLAs in Jammu and Kashmir on possibility of forming government besides supervising election of their leader in the Assembly.
