The State Congress chief Saif-ud-din Soz Wednesday claimed that except Congress every political party in Jammu and Kashmir including national conference is striving to enter into a secret deal with RSS for the government formation in the state.Soz while talking to newsmen in North Kashmir said that the state Congress could enter into a deal with Sajad Gani Lone. “On our own conditions, we can join hands with Sajad. Ours is the secular party and it is only Congress that has the capacity to stand against the RSS propaganda in Kashmir,”  Soz said when asked whether Congress party could join hands with Sajad Lone’s Peoples’ Conference, if needed for the government formation.

Soz, whose son Salman is contesting on the Congress ticket from north Kashmir, maintained that it is only the Congress party that can fight against the BJP and RSS in JK and that other parties have entered into the secret deal with the BJP. “In the recent past, the chief minister Omar Abdullah was asked about his strategy after the polls and he said NC will see it that time. What does that mean? I can only say that Congress alone is standing against BJP and RSS agenda.”

Soz also remarked that Congress will do well in the polls and that the results would be in the favor of the party in the near future. He asserted further that no government in Jammu and Kashmir is possible without the support of Congress party. The Congress chief also remarked that Separatist leaders represent the shade of opinion in Kashmir and that the opinion of the camp must be taken into account for the larger resolution of the issues. “Separatists must talk to New Delhi and then New Delhi must talk t the Pakistan. Calling off talks in the recent past was unfortunate. The whole world was surprised.”

Soz took jibe at the national conference and chief minister Omar Abdullah, saying coalition with the national conference was the compulsion at that time as the state would not have been benifited by the imposition of governor’s rule. “To say this in Kashmiri, we can say Asi Kadh Zaadh.”Soz while reacting to the remarks of the Chief Minister that Congress acted as the spoilsport for NC during the parliament polls, said that people on ground are disgruntled against the functioning of the national conference and that the state knows better what the Congress has done for it. “CM earlier said, he didn’t interfere in the working of his ministers.  This was laughable. He should have. If the system is corrupt, it is the chief minister as the head of the state who is responsible for the same” (KNS)
