Addressing workers of block Marmat in Doda constituency, Abdul Majid Wani the R&B Minister said that Congress is the only party in J&K state which is acceptable to people of all the three regions.“Congress has mass support in all three regions of the state because foundations of the party are based on secular ideology and people would not accept any approach which is against the spirit of pluralistic living,” he said in a statement to KNS.“Any approach or ideology contrary to the concept of pluralistic society would be fraught will be dangerous to the unity and integrity of this state. Most of the other political parties, in this state, have restricted support based upon either religion or region only. And, this time, Congress shall definitely form next government in J&K state,” Wani said.
He claimed that Congress would have absolute majority in the house because of its secular approach and remarkable development of the state in every sphere of activities in three regions, with support of the central government, during last one decade.The R&B minister asked the party workers to vigorously campaign highlighting the achievements of the UPA-1st and UPA-II “which had brought revolutionary legislations like MGNRAGA, NRHM, RTI, Right to Food, Right to Work, Right to Education and taken care of the interest of each and every section of the society and part of the country, especially the state of Jammu and Kashmir which were on the path of peace, progress and prosperity.”
