R&B Minister Abdul Majid Wani, today, visited Government Medical College Jammu to enquire about well being of border people injured in recent ceasefire violations by the Pakistan army on international borders. He was accompanied by the Principal and other senior staff of the Medical College. Majid Wani personally met a number of seriously injured border people as well as BSF personnel admitted in the medical college and assured their attendants that the government is committed to provide them the best medical treatment without any charges. The Principal Medical College was also directed to make it mandatory that these people are provided free of cost medical treatment and a special team of doctors is constituted to take round-the- -clock care of all such patients admitted in the medical college.Talking to the reporters, Majid Wani said that Pakistan army is indulging in shameless cowardice act by firing upon innocent people living on border areas.

This is being done only to pert the attention of its own people from its internal turmoil/ chaos. This act by the Pakistan Army also reflects its frustration over the Kashmiri youth having rejected the gun culture as propagated by the subversive elements living in Pakistan. Their efforts to misguide the Kashmiri youth have totally failed. Moreover, as everybody witnessed, the Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif tried to raise the pitch over Kashmir during his UN general assembly address. But he did not find any takers for his fume over Kashmir. Pakistan is now showing its frustration by targeting innocent civilian areas on Indian side of the border.Majid Wani further said that the state government is committed to provide all type of assistance to people living on borders and people from whole J&K state are with border people at this unfortunate juncture.
