R&B Minister Abdul Majid Wani made extensive tour of Srinagar city areas, today. Among other main localities, he visited Moulana Azad road, Residency Road, Barzalla, Bypass and Hyderpura, where he met a number of people and listened to their problems.  Majid Wani, also, monitored de-watering in Rajbagh and Jawahar Nagar areas and appreciated the efforts of local administration as well as local people who have shown remarkable courage to fight back the recent disaster. Despite of heavy losses caused to commercial and residential establishments, people of J&K, especially in Kashmir valley, are rising once again to bring themselves back to the normal life.

Majid Wani appreciated efforts made by R&B department engineers in restoring all major road links, across the state, within the shortest possible time. He exhorted them  to, now, gear up repairs of inundated road links and bridges because of recent floods. He asked them to face this challenge with a brave face and be a vital part of the government machinery for reconstruction of inundated civil infrastructure in all flood affected areas of the state.
