Punjab Cabinet Minister S. Hardeep Singh Mundian today dedicated three new Aam Aadmi Clinics constructed at a cost of Rs.76.41 lakh to the people in Sahnewal Assembly Constituency. The initiative is aimed at making quality and free healthcare services accessible to people close to their homes. 

Health Department officials, representatives of various government departments, local public representatives and a large number of residents were present on the occasion.Addressing the gathering, Cabinet Minister S. Hardeep Singh Mundian said that the Aam Aadmi Clinic at Badal Flats at Mundian Kalan has been constructed at a cost of Rs.27.96 lakh, the one at Purana Bazaar, Sahnewal at a cost of Rs.22.06 lakh and the clinic at village Uchi Mangli at a cost of Rs.26.39 lakh. 

He said that these clinics would provide basic healthcare services to local residents close to their homes.The Cabinet Minister said that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led government was committed to providing better, free and quality healthcare services to every section of society. 

With the establishment of Aam Aadmi Clinics, people are now getting access to free medical consultation, essential medicines, various diagnostic tests and primary treatment facilities under one roof. This is helping save both their time and money, he added.

He said that experienced doctors, nursing staff and other healthcare personnel had been deployed at these clinics to ensure timely and quality treatment for every patient. He added that people would no longer have to travel to distant hospitals for minor ailments as they could now avail themselves of treatment within their own neighbourhood.

S. Mundian said that the Punjab Government was working continuously to bring revolutionary transformation in the healthcare sector and Aam Aadmi Clinics were an important component of this mission. He urged people to make maximum use of the free services available at these clinics, get regular health check-ups and contribute towards building a healthier Punjab.

On the occasion, Senior Medical Officer (SMO) of Civil Hospital Sahnewal Dr. Ramesh Kumar also apprised the gathering of the facilities available at the Aam Aadmi Clinics and assured that every possible healthcare service would be provided to the people in a transparent and efficient manner.

During the event, local residents welcomed the initiative of the Punjab Government and said that the opening of the new Aam Aadmi Clinics would directly benefit thousands of people in the area and make healthcare services more easily accessible.
