Residents of Swami Sarvahitkari Riddhi Tower, located opposite Gate No. 6 of Shivalik City on Landran Road, Kharar have been struggling for nearly a decade with serious issues related to sewerage, drinking water supply and electricity infrastructure, particularly the transformer.

Despite repeatedly submitting complaints to the authorities, no permanent solution has been provided so far, leading to widespread resentment among the residents. This was stated by senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Punjab BJP State Media Head Vineet Joshi.

After being approached by members of the Residents Welfare Association (RWA), Vineet Joshi visited the site to assess the situation firsthand. He observed that the society's sewerage system was in an extremely poor condition, resulting in stagnant wastewater, foul smell, mosquito breeding and increasing health risks for residents.

In addition, the lack of a regular supply of clean drinking water has remained a major concern for a long time. The electricity transformer is also inadequate in capacity and plagued by technical issues, causing frequent power disruptions and significant inconvenience to residents, particularly during the summer months.

Vineet Joshi also interacted with Residents Welfare Association President Rajesh Kalia, Vice President Sanjeev Sharma and members Gaurav Dutta, Pradeep Kumar, Kulwinder, Basant Kashyap, Ravi, Dr. Vinod Soni and other residents. After listening to their grievances, he assured them that he would make every possible effort to ensure the early resolution of these long-pending basic civic issues.
