In a heart-wrenching tragedy, an entire family was wiped out in an instant after a speeding car rammed into a motorcycle in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna on Sunday. The accident occurred around 6 p.m. near Bhadaura village on the Guna-Gwalior Highway (NH-46), under the jurisdiction of Myana police station.

According to police officials, a white “Ertiga car” coming from Gwalior collided head-on with a motorcycle carrying a man, his wife, and their young child. The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was mangled beyond recognition, and all three riders were flung onto the road. None survived the crash.

The victims have been identified as Manoj Kushwaha (34) of Piprauda village, his wife Malti Kushwaha (30) and their son Kartik (7), who died on the spot. The incident took place on National Highway No 46 at a small bridge. They were returning from their in-laws' house, Brijmohan Bhadauria, the investigation officer, said.

Police officials, led by Station House Officer Brijmohan Bhadauria, rushed to the site immediately after receiving information. Despite efforts to save the victims, they were declared dead on the spot. The bodies were later sent to Guna District Hospital for post-mortem examinations, and the process of identification is underway.

Families of the deceased are being informed, the officer said. The driver of the car was taken into custody. During initial questioning, he claimed that the motorcycle appeared suddenly and the high speed left him no time to brake. The police have seized the vehicle and collected evidence from the scene.

A case has been registered, and further legal action will follow once the victims’ relatives arrive. The SHO confirmed that post-mortem examinations are being conducted, the driver is under interrogation, and all necessary evidence has been secured. Locals expressed grief and anger, pointing out that reckless speeding and dangerous overtaking are common on the four-lane Guna-Gwalior highway.
