Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said on Thursday that his government has initiated a slew of measures to ensure pollution-free development in Hyderabad. As part of these measures, a 2,100-square-km area (CURE) within the Outer Ring Road (ORR) has been designed exclusively for the service sector, and all industries located within ORR will be shifted outside it, the CM said at the inauguration of India's next-gen solar module manufacturing facility in Rangareddy district.

He said that the state has been divided into CURE, PURE, and RARE zones for sustainable development. Taking serious note of increasing challenges in the metropolitan cities in the country, Revanth Reddy expressed concern over increasing pollution in Delhi and said this had made the city uninhabitable.

He also noted that cities like Bengaluru and Chennai are grappling with severe traffic issues. The Chief Minister reiterated that the government resolved to transform Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047. The present flow of investment is insufficient to compete globally, he said while emphasising the need to improve infrastructure to attract more investments for a robust economic growth in the future.

"We are striving to transform Telangana into the number one state in the country,” he said. He asserted that politics should be restricted to the election season and focus should be only on the development of Telangana. "It’s not the time for politics. We should do politics only during elections.

The Opposition leaders are pained over losing power, but let us work for the development of the state." He claimed that despite facing numerous political allegations, the Congress government was working with the goal of developing Telangana so that it contributes 10 per cent share to the national economy.

He listed the steps taken to prepare a skilled workforce. He said Skills University along with Advanced Training Centres (ATCs) were established to upgrade the skills of the youth. The Chief Minister ordered the district Collector to provide housing and construct commercial complexes to ensure livelihoods for the families who lost their lands in Sitarampur village for the solar manufacturing plant. He thanked farmers of the Rangareddy district for making possible the establishment of the solar manufacturing unit.
