Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker and Garhshankar MLA S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri interacted with residents during a Lok Milni held in Soli village. Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Speaker said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is continuously working to provide better basic amenities and ensure the overall development of villages.
He said that the objective of these meetings is to hear people's grievances on the spot and resolve them promptly, so that they do not have to make repeated visits to government offices. On the occasion, Deputy Speaker S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri announced a grant of ₹60 lakh for the construction of roads in the village.
He said that the grant would be used to strengthen and upgrade the village roads, providing residents with improved transportation facilities and giving a fresh impetus to development. Discussions were also held on several other development projects during the public meeting, and the Deputy Speaker assured the people of his full support in addressing their needs.
S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri directed the concerned officials to ensure that all development works are completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining high quality standards. He said that development projects are being carried out in every village of the constituency without any discrimination and that every genuine public demand is being addressed on a priority basis.
The villagers extended a warm welcome to Deputy Speaker Rouri and expressed their gratitude for the ₹60 lakh grant for road development. They said that the funding would help address the village's long-pending development needs and provide direct benefits to residents in the coming years.
A large number of villagers, panchayat members, social workers, and prominent local residents were present on the occasion.
