Actor Karan Tacker has reacted to a recent fraud attempt involving individuals falsely posing as his manager to mislead people and carry out scams. The actor has urged people to remain cautious and report any such suspicious contacts immediately.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Karan wrote, “Hi, someone using the numbers below is falsely posing as my manager and trying to scam people. If they contact you, please block and report them. Thank you.” He also shared the contact numbers linked to the individuals involved in the scam.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan Tacker began his acting career with a small role in the 2008 film “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.” He later transitioned to television with shows like “Love Ne Mila Di Jodi” and “Rang Badalti Odhani.” His breakthrough came with daily soap “Ek Hazaaron “Mein Meri Behna Hai,” which brought him widespread fame and recognition.
He also appeared in ‘Special Ops,’ where he portrayed an undercover intelligence officer. He later reprised the role in ‘Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story’ in 2021. In 2022, he appeared as IPS officer Amit Lodha in ‘Khakee: The Bihar Chapter.’ Most recently, Karan was seen in ‘Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery.’
Earlier, during the trailer launch event of the show, Karan Tacker spoke about the challenges he faced while portraying such a unique character. He revealed that the role led to sleepless nights and even shared that he once asked his mother to stay with him until he was able to fall asleep.
Karan said, “I don’t want to sound very overindulgent as an actor, but for me, especially when it came to playing this part, I really had a challenge switching off from the heaviness of what you do on set, and you come back home. There have been so many times when I’ve messaged my mom on my way back home from work, saying, "Mom can you just stay up for me?.”
“Just have a cup of tea with me or maybe lie down next to me until I go to sleep," because had this been just a show which was a horror show, which was fictitious and you were just building a character, there’s a lot of make believe, but you’re dealing with real person’s story and you’re dealing with a real person who passed away in an unfortunate incident, it does somewhere stay with you.”
