AAP Punjab State Media Incharge Baltej Pannu, Welcoming the Aam Aadmi Party's impressive victory in the recently held local body elections, said the results reaffirm the people's unwavering faith in the Bhagwant Mann government and its development-oriented policies. In a statement issued on Monday, Baltej Pannu said that impressed by the pro-people policies and development works of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the people of Hoshiarpur, Jalalabad and Mamdot have given their resounding endorsement to the AAP government in the local body elections held yesterday.
Taking a swipe at the Shiromani Akali Dal, Baltej Pannu said that Jalalabad was once considered Sukhbir Singh Badal's political stronghold, having represented it in both the Lok Sabha and the Punjab Assembly. Yet, despite holding two major roadshows there, Badal managed to win just one seat. The people, he said, have made it clear that there is no longer any place in Punjab for nepotism and hollow claims.
With the upcoming Assembly elections on the horizon, the aware voters of Punjab have once again sent a clear message to the opposition. They have shown the mirror to the Congress, the Shiromani Akali Dal and the BJP, which continues to beat the drum of its so-called "double-engine government."
The political mood of Punjab is now crystal clear. The parties that resorted to cheap tactics and conspiracies to malign the clean image of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann have seen their false propaganda completely rejected by the people. Thanking the people of Punjab from the bottom of his heart, Pannu said that he is indebted to all those voters who, satisfied with the Mann government's historic decisions and development works, have stood firmly with the Aam Aadmi Party.
He said the government will continue to work with the same commitment for Punjab's progress and prosperity without any discrimination.
