Several prominent personalities from different parts of Punjab joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini. The induction programme was held at the Chief Minister's official residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, in Chandigarh on late Saturday evening. MLA, Ram Kumar Kashyap and several senior party leaders were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister welcomed President, Sabzi Mandi Aarti Association Patiala, Amandeep Kamboj, Chairman, Land Mortgage Bank, Patiala, Harpreet Chatha along with several other prominent office-bearers as they formally joined the party.
Additionally, the following leaders also joined namely Kulwant Singh, Block President, Aam Aadmi Party (Balbera), Sarpanch Jaspal Singh, Rajvir Singh, Sarpanch Brahmpura, Rohit Mehan, Block Coordinator, Aam Aadmi Party, Pranav Goyal, President, Youth Congress, Patiala, Aman Thind, Vice President, Youth Congress, Davinder Singh Rajput, Sanour City President, Aam Aadmi Party,
Jashanpreet Singh, President of Sanour Youth Jat Sabha, Manish Chaudhary, Former Councillor from Nabha (Congress), Gurtej Singh, President of the SC Wing, Sanour were also among those who joined.Several office-bearers from various opposition parties also enrolled as BJP members, stating that they are inspired by the party's policies and the developmental initiatives being undertaken across the country under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. More than two dozen serving and former Sarpanches and Panches also joined the BJP during the event.
Welcoming the new members, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that their induction would further strengthen the BJP's organisational base in Punjab and provide fresh momentum to the party's commitment to public service and development.
He said the Bharatiya Janata Party is working for the welfare of every section of society, guided by the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’.Senior party leaders and workers were also present at the programme.
