Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria on Saturday flagged off 25 new Quick Response Team (QRT) motorcycles, a Quick Response Vehicle, and a Honda Elevate car for the Udaipur Police under the Honda India Foundation’s road safety initiative, ‘Sadak Sahayak: Surakshit Marg, Surakshit Jeevan’. The newly inducted fleet is aimed at strengthening the police force’s emergency response capabilities, enabling quicker action during road accidents, traffic management, and other emergency situations.

Karan Gilhotra and Rajiv Taneja from Honda India Foundation were specially present at the event. Addressing the gathering, he said the initiative reflects Honda India Foundation’s commitment to enhancing road safety, supporting faster police response, and improving public safety through meaningful public-private partnerships.

Notably, in February this year, Honda India Foundation had also provided 25 QRT motorcycles to the Udaipur Police. With the latest addition, the force’s emergency response infrastructure has been further reinforced, helping ensure more efficient policing and better assistance to citizens.

Senior police and administrative officials, along with representatives of Honda India Foundation, attended the ceremony. Speakers emphasized the need to transform road safety into a people’s movement and highlighted the importance of collaboration between the police and the private sector in promoting safer roads and saving lives.
