Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Sh. Rajesh Nagar said the Haryana Government is committed to expanding and strengthening the Public Distribution System (PDS) while ensuring greater transparency. 

In line with the Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini's Budget announcement, the process of opening new fair price shops (ration depots) is being expedited across the state. He said the government's priority is to ensure that ration beneficiaries do not face any inconvenience and that the distribution system becomes more efficient and citizen-friendly.

The Minister clarified that there is no shortage of domestic LPG in Haryana. He added that the international situation is gradually stabilising, and any guidelines issued by the Central Government regarding LPG supply timelines will be implemented accordingly.

The Minister said this while chairing the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee at Panchayat Bhawan in Bhiwani on Friday. The Minister heard 13 public grievances and resolved 10 of them on the spot.

Rajesh Nagar also directed officers  to accord top priority to resolving public grievances promptly. He said the government's objective is to ensure that citizens receive the benefits of government welfare schemes and public services with maximum ease and convenience.

During the proceedings,  officers of the police  department informed the Minister that investigations were underway into complaints submitted by Sandeep Kaushik of Kirti Nagar and Dharam Singh of Fancy Chowk.While hearing a complaint regarding drinking water supply filed by Ravi Sharma of DC Colony, the Minister directed the Public Health Engineering Department to ensure an adequate supply of clean drinking water.

Taking up complaints relating to alleged negligence during deliveries at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Nakipur village, Sh. Rajesh Nagar ordered a detailed inquiry and directed that strict action be taken against any staff found responsible. In another case concerning Kamla Devi of Saral village, the Minister  directed officers of the electricity department to shift an electricity pole from her plot.

The  officers of the police department  informed the Minister that the grievance submitted by Sukhvinder of Patwan village had already been resolved.Expressing displeasure over the absence of any representative from the Postal Department during the hearing of a complaint filed by Rishikesh of Mundhal Khurd village, the Minister ordered strict action. 

He also constituted an inquiry committee comprising non-official members Sonu Sarpanch (Kalinga), Raj Kumar, and Kamal Fauji to investigate the matter.In a case relating to delays in mutation of land ownership involving Santra Devi of Bapora village, Sh. Rajesh Nagar directed the district administration to conduct an inquiry.

While hearing another complaint filed by Vikram of Chahar Khurd village concerning alleged negligence during deliveries at Nakipur PHC, the Minister gave directions for a thorough investigation and strict disciplinary action against any guilty staff members.

Regarding a complaint by Krishan Chand and Vidya Devi of Dhani Harsukh about the construction of a lined irrigation watercourse through their fields, the Minister directed the concerned department to resolve the issue within one month.

On a complaint by Meera and Jeeta Bai of Vidya Nagar alleging noise pollution from a temple in their locality that was affecting children's studies, Sh. Rajesh Nagar directed non-official committee members Kamal Fauji and Vikas Katpalia to visit the site, ascertain the facts, and submit their findings to the administration.

The Minister referred a complaint by Ashok Kumar of Ratera village regarding canal water supply to Bawani Khera MLA Kapoor Singh Valmiki, asking him to ensure an early resolution.Hearing a grievance submitted by Ram Kishan Sharma, President of the Bhiwani Sector-13 Residents Welfare Association, municipal officials informed the Minister that the tender for installation of steel house number plates in residential sectors had been finalised and the work order would be issued next week.

The meeting was attended by Bhiwani MLA, Sh. Ghanshyam Sarraf,  MLA Bawani Khera, Sh. Kapoor Singh Valmiki, Deputy Commissioner, sh. Sahil Gupta, and Superintendent of Police Sumit Kumar, along with other senior district officials.
