Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the holy site of Up Jyotirlinga Nageshwar Mahadev Dham has bestowed immense blessings upon the residents and town of Babain in Kurukshetra. He said that by the grace of Lord Shiva, the temple would once again be rebuilt in an even grander form. Lord Shiva's blessings have always remained with the devotees.

The Chief Minister appealed to the youth, women and citizens of Babain, in the presence of saints, to contribute through voluntary labour and other forms of assistance for the reconstruction of the temple. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was addressing devotees at Up Jyotirlinga Nageshwar Mahadev Dham, Babain, on Wednesday.

He inspected the collapsed dome of the shrine and interacted with Mahant Trikal Giri and local residents to gather information about the incident. Thereafter, he paid floral tributes at the samadhi of Sant Natraj Giri.

The Chief Minister announced financial assistance of ₹21 lakh and issued necessary directions to Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena. He also listened to the grievances of local residents on the spot. The Chief Minister said that the incident at the shrine was heart-rending.

In this tragedy, Sant Natraj Giri Ji Maharaj departed for his heavenly abode and attained the feet of the Almighty. Paying tribute to the revered saint, he said that a committee should be constituted to supervise and ensure the completion of the temple reconstruction work.

He stated that the shrine is a symbol of faith for the people of the region and that residents of Babain and surrounding areas have deep reverence for it. He urged everyone to make a meaningful contribution towards restoring the temple in a more magnificent form.

Representatives of Sangor village panchayat submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister seeking assistance for the repair and reconstruction of the village Shiva temple. They informed him that the temple is nearly 250 years old and currently requires restoration. They also requested the construction of a shed for kirtan and community feast (bhandara) activities.

Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena, Superintendent of Police Chandra Mohan, BJP District President Ramesh Saini, Chairman Subhash Kalsana, Chairman Ravindra Sangwan, Chairman Jaswinder Jassi, Chairman Nayab Isharhedi and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
