Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is not merely a religious scripture but an invaluable heritage that provides the right direction to human life. He said that the message of Karmayoga delivered by Lord Krishna on the sacred land of Kurukshetra continues to inspire humanity even today. 

The Gita shows us the path of duty, self-confidence, self-discipline, and the welfare of mankind. The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering through a video message from Chandigarh on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the International Gita Mahotsav being held in Japan.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini further said that at a time when the world is facing numerous challenges and tensions, the message of the Gita inspires peace, harmony, and positive thinking. This is why the teachings of the Gita are bringing people together across the globe.

He said the International Gita Mahotsav, which began in Kurukshetra, has now reached many countries around the world. He added that India and Japan have always shared strong relations. 

In particular, economic and cultural cooperation between Haryana and Japan has been steadily growing, reflecting the deep friendship between the two. Congratulating the organizers on the successful conduct of the event, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that the divine message of the Gita would continue to pave the way for peace, harmony and the welfare of humanity across the world.

Present on the occasion in Japan were Pujya Swami Gyananand Maharaj, Consul General of India in Osaka Sh. Chandru Appar, Member Secretary of the Kurukshetra Development Board Dr. Amit Agrawal, Honorary Secretary Upendra Singhal, Authority Member Sh. Vijay Narula, members of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, ISKCON representatives, and workers of the Gita Parivar.
