Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today convened a meeting of officers from various line departments to review and finalise arrangements for the smooth celebration of International Yoga Day 2026 across the district. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various arrangements and other logistical requirements for the successful conduct of the event.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all departments concerned to put necessary arrangements in place well in advance and emphasised close inter-departmental coordination. He further instructed officers to facilitate maximum participation at the district-level function as well as at other designated venues across the district.
The AYUSH Department was directed to ensure the availability of yoga instructors and make all required logistical arrangements for the smooth conduct of yoga sessions. Among those present were Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore, Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Programme Officer Poshan Subash Dogra, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, General Manager DIC Kishore Singh Katoch and other senior officers.
