Haryana Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Sh. Arun Gupta has directed officials to formulate a structured framework to take the state government’s 12 years of achievements to the masses. In this regard, he held a meeting with all Deputy Commissioners of the state through video conferencing from the Civil Secretariat.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner and Secretary, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Chief Minister’s OSD Sh. B.B. Bharti, Director General of Agriculture Department Sh. R.N. Kaushik, PCCF Sh. K.C. Meena, Additional Director of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department Sh. Manish Kumar Lohan, and Joint Director Sh. Neeraj Kumar, among others.

During the meeting, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Sh. Arun Gupta reviewed the preparations made so far from all Deputy Commissioners and issued detailed directions. He said duty allocation should be ensured for the successful conduct of the special publicity and public awareness campaign to be held till June 20.

He further directed that Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs and other public representatives must be specially invited to all events under the campaign. Approvals were granted for various departmental programmes and activities, and necessary instructions were issued to concerned officers.

The main objective of the campaign is to effectively communicate the public welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments, development projects, and the achievements of the last 12 years to the general public. Commissioner and Secretary, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal presented a detailed outline of the activities to be undertaken during the campaign.

He said that media interaction programmes will be organised during this period. As per the programme schedule approved by the Chief Minister’s Office, Ministers will interact with media representatives and share information regarding government achievements and schemes.

He said that under the special public outreach campaign, Ministers, MPs, MLAs and other public representatives will interact with people on the ground. Visits by public representatives have also been proposed, during which information on development works and public welfare schemes will be shared with citizens.

It was also decided in the meeting to launch a special tree plantation campaign. The Forest and Environment Department will organise plantation programmes at various locations. Along with this, extensive cleanliness drives will be carried out in both urban and rural areas.

Sanitation systems in urban local bodies will be strengthened, while special cleanliness drives will be conducted in rural areas with the cooperation of Gram Panchayats. Dr. Amit Agrawal said that in order to encourage participation of youth and social organisations, exhibitions titled ‘Pragati Path’ will be organised at district headquarters showcasing the achievements of the government over the past 12 years.

These exhibitions will display development projects, welfare schemes and key achievements of various departments, enabling citizens to access comprehensive information at one place. He also said that special drawing and poster-making competitions on the theme of “Viksit Bharat, Viksit Haryana” will be organised for children.

Discussions were also held on organising awareness camps on natural farming by the Agriculture Department and Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University. Organising livestock fairs was also proposed.

The meeting also discussed the organisation of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Conferences, special publicity campaigns, and public welfare camps at district and sub-divisional levels. In these camps, eligible beneficiaries will be registered under schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, PM Surya Ghar Yojana, PM Swanidhi Yojana, and Lakhpati Didi Yojana.

Citizens will also be provided information about various welfare schemes, and efforts will be made to resolve issues on the spot. Sh. Arun Gupta directed all departments to ensure effective implementation of the scheduled programmes and submit timely reports of all activities to the concerned offices.

He said that the objective of the campaign is not only publicity but also to enhance public participation and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries.
