Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria today visited Indira Holiday Home, Sector 24, Chandigarh and reviewed the facilities and services being provided at the institution. Chief Secretary, UT Chandigarh, Shri H. Rajesh Prasad; Additional Chief Secretary to Governor, Punjab, Shri V.P. Singh; Secretary, Social Welfare Department, UT Chandigarh, Ms. Anuradha Chagti; and other senior officers of the Chandigarh Administration accompanied the Administrator during the visit.

During the visit, the Administrator inspected various sections of the Home and reviewed arrangements related to accommodation, cleanliness, healthcare, recreation and overall welfare of the residents. He interacted with the management and staff and took stock of the functioning of the institution.

Officials briefed the Administrator on the functioning of the Home, ongoing activities and measures being undertaken for the upgradation of facilities. Emphasizing the need to maintain high standards of care, Shri Kataria directed the concerned officers to further strengthen infrastructure and enhance service delivery to ensure a safe, comfortable and dignified environment for the residents.

The Administrator appreciated the efforts of the staff and underscored the importance of providing quality care and welfare services to the residents.
