Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria released the Residential & Commercial Directory of Sector 16, Chandigarh, prepared by Aryans Group of Colleges under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, at a function held at Lok Bhawan, Chandigarh.  Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges and President, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA), presided over the event.

While addressing, Governor congratulated Dr. Anshu Kataria and the residents of Sector 16 for the unique initiative. He described the directory as a remarkable example of community service and social responsibility, stating that such efforts help strengthen social bonds, improve neighbourhood connectivity, and foster a greater sense of belonging among residents. 

He noted that Dr. Kataria, himself a resident of Sector 16, has been actively serving the community for over two decades and has consistently contributed towards the welfare and development of the area. Governor further lauded Dr. Kataria's contribution to the education sector, stating that as President of PUCA and Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions (FSFTI), he has emerged as a strong voice for students and educational institutions and has played a significant role in the growth of higher and technical education in Punjab and across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anshu Kataria said that the directory has been prepared with the objective of enhancing community interaction, strengthening neighborhood relationships, and creating a reliable platform for communication among residents and commercial establishments. He thanked the Governor of Punjab, residents of Sector 16, and all contributors who supported the initiative. Dr. Kataria added that the directory would prove beneficial during emergencies, social activities, and community engagement programmes while helping residents know one another better in an increasingly digital world.

On the occasion S. Manjit Singh, Chairman, Joint Association of Colleges, Dr Parveen Kataria, Smt. Preeti Vij, Sh Aman Kansal, Sh Manav Singla, Prof Rupinder Tiwari, Dr Avinash Mehta, Dr Ashwani Biana, Dr Sehgal, Ms. Punika Mahajan, Dr. Garima Thakur, Mr. Manu Kataria, Ms. Simran Kaur, S. Shingara Singh, Ms. Nainpreet Kaur, Ms. Rashmi, etc. were present.
