Newly appointed Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon called on BJP National President Shri Nitin Nabin at the party's national headquarters in New Delhi on Friday. Dhillon was accompanied by BJP National Secretary, Punjab Co-Incharge, MLA Sardar Narinder Singh Raina and State general secretary organisation Manthri Srinivasulu.

Dhillon expressed his gratitude to the National President for entrusting him with the leadership of the Punjab unit and assured him that he would take along every section of the party and work in close coordination with State leaders, office-bearers and workers across Punjab. He expressed confidence that under the guidance of the national leadership and with the collective efforts of the party cadre, the BJP would emerge as a strong political force in the state and form its government in Punjab after the Assembly elections scheduled for February 2027.

The meeting involved detailed deliberations on welfare of Punjabi farmers, creating employment opportunities for the youth and making a strategy to establish a BJP government in the state in the 2027 assembly elections. Dhillon stated that they are fully committed to making Punjab the best state in the country and will work day and night to serve the people.

He assured the National President that intensive efforts would be made in the coming days to strengthen the party's organization right down to the booth level across the state. A special highlight of the meeting was when Kewal Singh Dhillon presented the National President with a portrait of 'Sher-e-Punjab' Maharaja Ranjit Singh, sharing insights into the glorious achievements and history of his 'Sarkar-e-Khalsa' rule.

Dhillon emphasized that drawing inspiration from Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s just and pro-people governance, they discussed the framework for a future BJP government in Punjab. The BJP leadership expressed absolute confidence that the party will move forward by taking every section of society along to ensure a golden and progressive future for the state.
