Reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence and continuous faculty development, Rayat Bahra University facilitated the participation of three faculty members from the ECE/EE Department of the University School of Engineering and the University School of Polytechnic in a prestigious seven-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) at Indian Institute Technology Delhi.

The initiative was undertaken under the visionary guidance of Vice Chairman Sahil Bahra and Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, with academic leadership from Prof. (Dr.) Anmol Goyal, Dean Engineering, and Er. Sonal Sood, Principal Polytechnic and Head, ECE/EE Department. During the first four days of the FDP, participants were immersed in IIT Delhi’s vibrant innovation ecosystem and research-driven learning environment.

The programme commenced with hands-on exposure to Makerspace technologies, including CAD, 3D printing, DIY electronics, laser cutting, CNC routing, and problem discovery techniques. Subsequent sessions focused on Design Thinking fundamentals, emphasizing empathy, user research, problem definition, and creative ideation.

Faculty members also explored systems thinking, product design, project development, and both low- and high-fidelity prototyping methodologies. The fourth day concluded with user testing, prototype refinement, final presentations, and expert discussions.
