The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified its campaign for the upcoming Municipal Council elections in Dhuri, scheduled for May 26, with a strong focus on its development agenda. Party leaders and workers are actively engaging with residents through extensive door-to-door outreach across various wards, seeking support on the basis of ongoing and planned development works.
Chairman Dalvir Singh Dhillon of the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation spearheaded the campaign in Wards 4 and 16, canvassing support for party candidates Rajeev Sharma and Deepak Bansal, respectively. During the outreach, he interacted with local residents and urged them to back AAP candidates to ensure continued progress in the city.
Addressing the public, Dhillon highlighted that development projects worth approximately ₹200 crore are currently underway in Dhuri under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. These projects include major road construction and repair works, expansion of street lighting infrastructure, and a range of city beautification initiatives aimed at improving urban living standards.
He emphasized that the completion of these projects in the coming months will significantly transform the city’s landscape, positioning Dhuri as a modern and well-developed model city. “Our government is committed not just to making promises, but to delivering tangible results on the ground,” he stated.
Appealing to the electorate, Dhillon urged residents to give a decisive mandate to AAP candidates in the Municipal Council elections, so that the momentum of development can be sustained and accelerated further. The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation, with a large number of party workers and local residents expressing strong support for AAP and its candidates.
