Serving Earth Society Registered is organizing a workshop on documentary filmmaking at Maximum Merry School. Sharing details, school manager Mr. Parthasarathi Kaushik said that members of the society are successfully conducting a workshop on the topic “How to Make a Documentary Film.”
The main objective of the workshop is to familiarize school students and youth with the nuances of documentary filmmaking and to inspire them to spread awareness on social issues through films. The workshop was inaugurated by the school principal, Ms. Pooja Ghosla.
President of Serving Earth Society Registered, Rajesh Kaushik, stated that documentaries act as a mirror of society and can effectively convey important issues such as environment, education, and cleanliness to the public. During the workshop, students were introduced to script writing, voice-over techniques, and other essential aspects.
He further informed that in the coming days, students will be given detailed training in camera handling, shooting techniques, interview skills, video editing, and voice-over recording. Practical sessions on shooting documentaries using mobile phones will also be conducted. He emphasized that a good documentary does not require expensive equipment, but rather a strong subject and a well-written script.
At the end of the program, students presented their documentary ideas. Mr. Kaushik added that more than 300 students from the school are participating in the workshop, and certificates will be distributed to all participants upon completion.
The school management expressed gratitude to the society and showed interest in organizing such creative programs in the future as well. On this occasion, senior members of the society, including Gurmukh Singh Mann, Nirbhay Sharma, Kanishka Kaushik, along with school staff and a large number of students, were present.
