A massive Jan Aakrosh Mahila Padyatra was organized today at Sector-17 Plaza, Chandigarh, under the aegis of various social organizations and NGOs in support of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. Women from different parts of the city participated in large numbers, showcasing unity and strongly condemning the opposition by Congress and its allied parties, terming it an insult to women’s empowerment.

The atmosphere during the padyatra was highly inspiring and energetic as women marched holding the tricolor. The entire Sector-17 Plaza resonated with powerful slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Nari Shakti Zindabad,” creating a wave of patriotism and enthusiasm. 

This grand participation symbolized not only the self-respect of women but also their determination to raise their voices for their rights. During the padyatra, women expressed their anger through slogans and sent a clear message that no compromise will be accepted on the rights of half the population of the country. 

They stated that the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam is not just a bill but a historic step towards empowering women, and opposing it is equivalent to opposing women’s empowerment. On this occasion, BJP Chandigarh State President Jitender Pal Malhotra was also present. 

Addressing the gathering, he said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has always been committed to the dignity, safety, and empowerment of women. He emphasized that the Act will strengthen women’s participation in politics and reinforce democracy.

State General Secretaries Ramveer Bhatti and Sanjeev Rana were also present. Along with them, State Media Incharge Ravi Rawat also remained present and appreciated the remarkable participation of women, calling it a reflection of growing awareness and the rising strength of women in society. 

All leaders welcomed the enthusiasm of women and reiterated that BJP remains committed to women’s rights and empowerment. Chandigarh Mayor Saurabh Joshi, former Mayor Sarbjit Kaur, and former Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla also participated and shared their views, appreciating the historic participation of women.

Former State President and Himachal Pradesh Co-Incharge Sanjay Tandon remained present in the padyatra and appreciated the participation of women.BJP Mahila Morcha State President Heera Negi actively participated and contributed to the success of the event.

On this occasion, Mahila Morcha State General Secretary Priya Paswan addressed the gathering in a powerful manner, stating that today’s women are not only aware of their rights but are also determined to secure them. She emphasized that the Act will provide a strong identity and direction to women.

At the conclusion, women collectively resolved to continue their fight for dignity and rights and oppose any obstacle to women empowerment. This padyatra was a strong message that women are now aware, united, and determined.
