BJP Chandigarh Unit's Extensive "Welcome through Cleanliness" Campaign Ahead of Narendra Modi's Visit

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chandigarh Pradesh organized a large-scale "Swachhta Se Swagat" Campaign across the city ahead of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Chandigarh. In the first phase of the campaign, special cleanliness drives were conducted in 17 out of 35 Mandals across the city. Along with BJP workers, a large number of local residents, traders, youth, women and representatives of social organizations enthusiastically participated, making the campaign a remarkable example of public participation.

Further strengthening the initiative, senior office bearers of BJP Chandigarh Pradesh attended the campaign in different Mandals as Chief Guests and encouraged party workers and local residents to actively participate in the "Swachhta Se Swagat" Campaign. BJP Chandigarh Pradesh President Jatinder Pal Malhotra participated in Ward No. 7 along with Councillor Manoj Sonkar, the Mandal President and his team, BJP workers and local residents. State General Secretary Ramveer Bhatti participated in Ward No. 4 along with Deputy Mayor Suman Sharma, the Mandal President and his team, BJP workers and local citizens, while State General Secretary Sanjeev Rana attended the campaign in Ward No. 10 as the Chief Guest.

State Vice President Naresh Panchal participated in Ward No. 19, Poonam Sharma in Ward No. 24, Indira Singh in Ward No. 32 and Bharat Kumar in Ward No. 25. State Media Incharge Ravi Rawat attended the campaign in Ward No. 26. State Secretaries Manish Sharma and Amandeep Singh participated in the campaign in Wards No. 20 and 18 respectively. 

In addition, Mahila Morcha President Sonam Verma participated in Ward No. 23, OBC Morcha President Satpal Verma in Ward No. 13, SC Morcha President Amit Khairwal in Ward No. 16, Nominated Councillor Anil Masih in Ward No. 14, Avi Bhasin in Ward No. 21, Ravikant Sharma in Ward No. 27 and Jagtar Jagga in Ward No. 5. 

Their active participation added new energy to the campaign and significantly strengthened public awareness about cleanliness. On this occasion, BJP Chandigarh Pradesh reiterated that the Swachh Bharat Mission, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has today evolved into a nationwide people's movement. 

The campaign was organized with the objective of ensuring that Chandigarh is clean, beautiful and well-maintained ahead of the Prime Minister's visit. It also conveyed the message that cleanliness is not merely an activity but a shared social responsibility.

During the campaign, extensive cleanliness drives were carried out at public places, markets, parks, roads and other important locations across different Mandals. Through the "Swachhta Se Swagat" Campaign, BJP workers and local residents spread the message of cleanliness and appealed to citizens to keep their surroundings clean. 

Awareness activities were also conducted at several locations, emphasizing that a clean environment is the foundation of a healthy and progressive society. One of the key highlights of the campaign was the enthusiastic participation of Mandal Presidents and their respective teams. 

Area Councillors, BJP workers and local residents also actively joined the "Swachhta Se Swagat" Campaign, transforming it into a true people's movement. Their coordinated efforts ensured that all the cleanliness drives were conducted in a disciplined, well-organized and impactful manner.

The upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm among the citizens of Chandigarh. People from different parts of the city voluntarily joined the campaign, demonstrating that Chandigarh is fully prepared to welcome the Prime Minister. 

Their participation also reflects the growing public confidence in the developmental initiatives and welfare schemes implemented under his leadership. BJP Chandigarh Pradesh believes that cleanliness is not only the responsibility of the government but also the moral duty of every citizen. 

The "Swachhta Se Swagat" Campaign is an effort to strengthen this spirit and inspire every section of society to make cleanliness an integral part of daily life. The BJP Chandigarh Pradesh leadership expressed gratitude to all Mandal Presidents, their teams, Area Councillors, BJP workers, social organizations, traders and the aware citizens of Chandigarh for their wholehearted participation. 

The party expressed confidence that such people-centric initiatives would continue to play a vital role in building a cleaner, greener and more developed Chandigarh. Organized to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the "Swachhta Se Swagat" Campaign emerged as a powerful symbol of cleanliness, social responsibility and collective commitment towards nation-building.
