Bharatiya Janata Party’s Fazilka District President, Kaka Kamboj, during a press conference, highlighted a sensitive and alarming incident taking place in Jalalabad, raising sharp questions against the Aam Aadmi Party government and the local MLA. He stated that a woman from Jalalabad, Stuti, along with her family, was in the process of legally purchasing a property.
In this regard, they had paid an advance amount of approximately ₹1.25 to ₹1.5 crore for a DPS school, with all supporting documents in place. In the presence of Kaka Kamboj, the family alleged that as soon as this matter reached MLA Goldy Kamboj, they began receiving threatening phone calls, abusive language, and pressure to withdraw their advance payment.
➖ Allegations of False Cases and Misuse of Police
He alleged that under the MLA’s patronage, a false FIR was lodged against the owners of the DIPS school, and they were picked up from their home and taken to the police station. They were later released under political pressure.
Furthermore, when the family demanded their money back, they were offered only half the amount and were threatened with being implicated in further false cases.
➖ Atmosphere of Fear and Pressure on the Family
Kamboj stated that incidents of police entering homes and intimidating the family have come to light. Family members who are in government jobs are also being pressured to resign.
He added that due to this, the family has gone into depression and has even reached the point of having suicidal thoughts, which is extremely concerning.
➖ Background of Property Dispute and Past Records
Kaka Kamboj stated that the school was legally sold in 2010 and there had been no dispute over it for the past 13 years. All documents, power of attorney, and proof of payments are available.
He alleged that now, through political interference, the issue is being forcibly revived in an attempt to grab the property.
➖ Demand for CBI Inquiry
The BJP has demanded that the entire matter be investigated outside the Punjab Police and handed over to the CBI to ensure a fair and impartial probe. Kamboj said that if Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is truly honest, he should immediately intervene in the matter and bring out the truth.

He appealed to the media to take this issue to higher authorities so that the affected family can get justice and the rule of law is maintained in Jalalabad.
