Under the public welfare scheme “Mera Ghar Mere Naam,” launched by the Punjab Government to provide legal ownership rights of residential houses to people, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora today distributed ownership rights cards to 53 eligible beneficiaries during a special event held at village Akalgarh Chathe Nakate in the Sunam Assembly constituency.

A sense of happiness and enthusiasm was witnessed among the villagers on this occasion, as the scheme grants them legal ownership of their homes, fulfilling a long-standing need. Addressing the gathering, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that the Punjab Government is committed to safeguarding the interests of the people and is ensuring the effective implementation of welfare schemes at the grassroots level.

He said that through the “Mera Ghar Mere Naam” scheme, residents of villages are being provided ownership rights to their homes, which will bring stability and a sense of security to their lives. He further stated that with the availability of legal documents under this scheme, beneficiaries will not only have stronger proof of ownership of their houses but will also find it easier to avail bank loans and other government facilities in the future.

He emphasized that the government aims to extend benefits to every section of society and ensure that no eligible person is left out. The Cabinet Minister also directed officials to ensure complete transparency and promptness in delivering the benefits of the scheme to every eligible individual.

Officials from various departments, dignitaries, and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
