British Laureate School has further strengthened its sports infrastructure with the establishment of a state-of-the-art shooting range, providing students with an opportunity to explore precision-based sporting disciplines. The initiative marks a significant step towards promoting niche sports and enhancing skill-based training within the campus.
Shooting, widely practiced and promoted by the British Army, is known for fostering focus, discipline, and mental resilience. The newly introduced facility aims to equip students with these essential qualities while encouraging them to pursue excellence in competitive shooting at various levels.
The shooting range will function under the expert supervision of Arshdeep Banga, an ISSF-certified coach trained in Finland and a former core member of the Indian shooting team for three years. His expertise is expected to provide students with high-quality professional training and exposure to advanced techniques in the sport.
Chairman Gurvinder Singh Bahra visited the campus to review the facility and appreciated the school’s efforts in introducing such a specialized and skill-oriented sport. He emphasized the importance of providing diverse platforms to ensure the holistic development of students and to help them discover their true potential.
Director-Principal Dr. (Col) Atul Bhandari stated that the initiative will play a crucial role in nurturing focus, confidence, and discipline among students. He added that the school remains committed to identifying and grooming young talent, enabling them to excel in both academics and sports.
The school management also shared that plans are underway to organize training sessions, workshops, and inter-school competitions at the shooting range, further enriching students’ exposure and experience. With this addition, British Laureate School continues to set new benchmarks in delivering holistic, future-ready education while promoting excellence in sports.
