Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister for Health and Medical Education J&K today inaugurated the HPV vaccination drive at PHC Sanoora in the Ramgarh Assembly Constituency, marking an important step towards strengthening preventive healthcare and protecting young girls from cervical cancer.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manyal highlighted the importance of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine in safeguarding the health of adolescent girls and preventing cervical cancer. He said that awareness and timely vaccination are essential to ensure a healthy future for the coming generations.
He urged parents and guardians to come forward and ensure that eligible girls receive the vaccine as part of the national health initiative. Dr. Manyal expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi and the Central Government for introducing and supporting such significant health programmes across the country.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, several public health initiatives have been launched to strengthen healthcare services and improve the well-being of citizens. The MLA also appreciated the efforts of health department officials and frontline workers who are playing a crucial role in implementing vaccination programmes at the grassroots level.
Among those present on the occasion were BDO Nud Dr. Richa Arora Dr. Ritika, ZMO, PHC Sanoora, District President Samba , Asha Rani, Block President Rajpura Asha Rani, along with other officials and local residents who welcomed the initiative and extended their support for the successful implementation of the vaccination drive in the area.
