With the objective of accelerating infrastructure development in Amritsar North constituency, Karamjit Singh Rintu today inaugurated the construction of roads in Ward No. 17, Mustafabad (Batala Road), including the Main Bazaar, Gali Burj Wali, and all connecting streets. Alongside this, the construction of the main road and link streets in Devi Nagar, under Dayanand Nagar Panchayat, was also formally commenced.
A key highlight of these works is that a new and upgraded sewerage system has already been installed in these areas, permanently resolving long-standing issues such as waterlogging, sanitation problems, and sewer blockages. Following this planned approach, strong, durable, and modern roads are now being constructed to ensure long-term convenience and improved quality of life for residents.
On this occasion, Karamjit Singh Rintu stated that development works in Amritsar North are being carried out in a planned and sustainable manner. “We first upgrade essential infrastructure like sewerage and drinking water systems, and only then construct roads, so that repeated digging is avoided and long-term relief is ensured for the public,” he said.
He further added that balanced and uniform development across all wards is being ensured, and more major projects will be initiated in the near future. Residents expressed happiness and appreciation, stating that such well-planned and high-quality development work is being witnessed in the area after a long time, which will significantly improve their daily lives.
Senior Deputy Mayor Smt. Priyanka Sharma, Councillors Anek Singh, Gurjit Singh Sonu, Ram Lubhaya, Sarpanch Pawan Kumar (Happy), Block President Shaila Ji, Harminder Kaur Montu, Shindi Sabka Sarpanch, Kiranpreet Singh, Sandeep Singh, Pandher Ji, and many other prominent personalities and residents were present on the occasion.
These development initiatives are proving to be a strong step towards providing better civic amenities and transforming Amritsar North into a model constituency.
