In order to ensure effective and seamless outreach of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana at the grassroots level in Sangrur district, Deputy Commissioner Sangrur, Rahul Chaba, organised a comprehensive training programme at the DAC Complex, Sangrur. The programme was conducted for government officials who will be deployed at 40 health camps proposed to be set up across the district to facilitate maximum enrolment under the scheme.

During the training session, officials were provided with detailed, hands-on training in Aadhaar-based KYC registration procedures, enabling them to carry out on-the-spot enrolment of citizens visiting the health camps. These camps are expected to play a pivotal role in extending the benefits of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana to thousands of residents across the district by ensuring easy access and hassle-free registration.

Addressing the officials, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba described the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana as a people-centric initiative of the Punjab Government. He stated that under the scheme, every citizen of Punjab is entitled to free medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh, without any income limit, conditions or restrictions.

He emphasised that the scheme ensures complete equality by eliminating all forms of discrimination between rich and poor as well as between government and private sector employees, with the overarching objective of removing the financial burden and fear associated with medical treatment. To further strengthen the implementation and monitoring of the scheme, the Deputy Commissioner informed that a dedicated control room has been established at the DAC Complex, Sangrur.

The control room comprises the District Informatics Officer, District Technical Coordinator, Master Trainer and District Mobility Coordinator, who will provide continuous technical and logistical support to the public for registration and smooth availing of benefits under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana.
