District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Harvinder Singh, today chaired a meeting at the DC Complex to review preparations for the celebration of the 16th National Voters’ Day, 2026. The meeting focused on ensuring smooth and effective arrangements for the event, with special emphasis on maximizing public participation across the district. 

It was informed that the main function will be held on January 25, 2026, at the FLC Hall, DC Office Complex, Doda. The DDC stressed the importance of organizing inclusive and impactful activities to enhance voter awareness, particularly among youth and first-time voters. 

To motivate young voters, the administration will rope in Youth Icons and young achievers to promote awareness about the electoral process. As part of the celebrations, a Voters’ Awareness Rally will be organized, starting from Boys GHSS Doda and culminating at the DC Office, Doda. 

A Voters’ Pledge will also be administered to reinforce democratic values and encourage responsible participation in elections. On the occasion, best-performing officers will be felicitated for their exemplary contributions to the electoral process. 

Additionally, booth-level celebrations will be conducted across the district to ensure wider grassroots participation. The meeting was attended by ADC Bhaderwah,  ACR Doda and SDM Assar virtually  along with CMO Doda, CEO Doda, DIO Doda, election  Naib Tehsildar (ENT) Doda and other concerned officials.
