OSD to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann, Sukhveer Singh today visited various wards of Dhuri city and reviewed the ongoing development works aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure and improving civic amenities. Chairman of the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, Dalvir Singh Dhillon, and Chairman of the Market Committee, Dhuri, Rajwant Singh Ghulli were also present during the visit.

During the inspection, OSD Sukhveer Singh reviewed the construction work of the Valmiki Dharamshala in Ward No. 8, being executed at a cost of approximately ₹25 lakh. Expressing satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, he directed the officials to ensure its completion within the stipulated timeframe while strictly adhering to quality standards. He also inspected the development works underway at the Brahmin Sabha in Ward No. 21 and at Shri Guru Ravidas Dharamshala, each being carried out at a cost of ₹10 lakh.

The OSD also took stock of the sewerage problem in Basant Colony and Gobind Nagar of Ward No. 1 and instructed the concerned officials to implement a permanent and effective solution to prevent recurrence of the issue. Emphasising public health and sanitation, he stated that any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.

Reiterating the Punjab Government’s commitment to planned urban development, Sukhveer Singh directed officials to complete all ongoing works within prescribed timelines and maintain the highest standards of quality. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government is giving top priority to strengthening basic infrastructure and addressing public issues on a priority basis. He added that development projects worth crores of rupees are currently underway in Dhuri and, upon completion, the city will emerge as a model urban centre.

On the occasion, Anil Mittal, Director Sugarfed Jaspal Singh Bhullar, Satinder Singh Chatha, Sham Singla, Baljit Kaur, Amrik Singh, Harjinder Singh Kanjhla, Amardeep Singh Dhandra, Labh Singh, Parminder Singh Punnu, Gurinder Kaur, Baldev Singh, Sukhpal Singh Pala, Ajab Singh, Milkha Raj, Veerbhan, Naresh Singla, along with a large number of beneficiaries and residents of Dhuri, were present.
