To review the implementation and progress of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)-Urban 2.0 in the district, a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) was today convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, at the Mini-Secretariat, Kulgam.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner undertook a comprehensive appraisal of the scheme’s implementation across the Municipal Council Kulgam and the three Municipal Committees of the district. During the 5th DLIC meeting, 73 new cases were cleared.

These included 58 cases under the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) component and 15 cases under the Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) component. With this approval, a cumulative total of 451 cases have been cleared so far under PMAY-U 2.0 in the district, comprising 412 cases under BLC and 39 cases under AHP.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure strict adherence to the scheme guidelines so that all genuine and eligible beneficiaries in the urban areas of the district are covered under the programme.
