Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the district and to strengthen strategies aimed at achieving the national goal of tuberculosis elimination.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the overall strategies and actionable plans focused on accelerating TB case detection, improving treatment outcomes and ensuring effective inter-departmental coordination. He emphasized the need for timely diagnosis, uninterrupted treatment and enhanced community participation to make the district TB-free. 

The DC took a detailed review of the status of active TB patients, engagement of Nikshay Mitras, distribution of Poshan Kits, and progress on diagnostic services including NAAT tests, microscopy and X-ray facilities. He also reviewed the functioning of the District Tuberculosis Centre (DTC), cases with consent pending, implementation of TB Preventive Treatment (TPT) and lost follow-up mechanisms. 

The concerned officers were directed to intensify active case finding, ensure regular follow-up of patients, and strengthen nutritional and social support to TB patients. The meeting was attended by DSEO Rajouri, Sandeep Sharma; CMO Rajouri, Dr. Manohar Lal Rana; District Tuberculosis Officer and other concerned officials. All Block Medical Officers joined the meeting virtually.
