Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting in his office chamber to review the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Scheme (Muft Bijli Yojna) in the district. The meeting was attended by concerned officers from the Power Development Department and other line departments.

During the meeting, the DC stressed the importance of timely and effective implementation of the scheme aimed at providing free electricity through solar power to eligible households. He directed officers to accelerate the enrolment of beneficiaries, intensify awareness activities, and ensure prompt completion of technical approvals.

He further called for close coordination among departments to remove any bottlenecks and ensure smooth execution of the scheme on the ground. The DC urged all stakeholders to work with dedication to achieve the targets within stipulated timelines so that the benefits of the scheme reach all eligible families in the district.
