Chairman Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission, Jasvir Singh Garhi, today bowed in reverence at Dera Shri 108 Sant Sarwan Das Ji, Sachkhand Ballan, and prayed for the prosperity of every section of the state. After having darshan of the present Gaddinashin (incumbent head) of the Dera, Sant Niranjan Das Ji, Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi held a deep discussion with Sant Niranjan Das Ji—who is also the Chairman of Shri Guru Ravidas Janam Asthan Mandir Public Charitable Trust, Kanshi Banaras—regarding the 650th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji.

This historic 650-year celebration is being organized by the Trust on a global level at Shri Guru Ravidas Janam Asthan Mandir, Seer-Goverdhanpur, Kanshi Banaras (Uttar Pradesh) on February 20, 2027. On this occasion, Chairman of the Punjab State Child Rights Protection Commission, Mr. Kanwardeep Singh, was also present.

During this, the Trust put forth the demand that the 650th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji be celebrated at the state level by the Government of Punjab, and that a high-level committee be formed—including government representatives, saints, and other social personalities—for preparations, so that the 650th Parkash Purab events can be celebrated with Punjabi tradition and devotion.

Chairman assured the Trust that he would convey this demand to the Punjab Government so that further action in this regard could be implemented. He said that the Bani of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji gives all of us the message of humanity and equality, and that we should follow the path shown by Guru Ji and uphold His great teachings.

Mr. Garhi said that he will personally visit every Dera in the state that follows Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, and by bringing everyone onto one platform, every possible effort will be made to celebrate the 650th Parkash Purab events with full devotion and according to tradition. He also said that the Punjab Government is establishing the Shri Guru Ravidas Bani Study Centre.

He assured the Trust that the Commission will coordinate with the administration regarding the establishment of the Study Centre so that action in this regard can begin soon. Thereafter, Chairman S. Jasvir Singh Garhi partook of langar with devotion.

On this occasion, AAP leader Ashok Bhatia, District Welfare Officer Ranbir Singh, Sarpanch Varun Bangar, Sarpanch Avtar Singh, Sarpanch Surjit Singh, Pankaj Banga, Happy Kaul, Dharminder Bhullarai, Surinder Rawalpindi, Shinderpal along with a large number of devotees were present.
