Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament Malvinder Singh Kang and MLA Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar strongly reacted to the incident in which Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring mocked the hair (juras) of two Sikh children. They said that Warring’s act has deeply wounded the sentiments of the entire Sikh community and that he deserves to face a social boycott.

MP Malvinder Singh Kang launched a direct attack on Raja Warring over his viral video, asking what problem the Punjab Congress President has with Sikhs. He said that almost every day, Congress makes statements or commits acts against Sikhs, the Guru Sahiban, or dalit leaders like Buta Singh, which deeply hurt Sikh sentiments.

Kang said that the way Raja Warring publicly mocked the juras of two Sikh children today is completely intolerable. He reminded that these juras and hair are sacred Kakars bestowed upon Sikhs by the Guru Sahiban.

He further said that on one hand, Warring claims that he is a follower of the Guru, but on the other hand, his mindset appears to be anti-Sikh. A mistake can happen once, but repeating such acts regularly proves that he harbors hatred for the Sikh Panth in his heart, a hatred that has now extended even to innocent children.

Kang warned that the Sikh community will never forgive those who mock the sacred Kakars. He added that Congress has been exhibiting its anti-Sikh mentality for the past five decades, but the people of Punjab will soon give them a befitting reply and teach them a lesson.

Meanwhile, MLA Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that Sikhs have established a distinct identity across the world through their hair and Kakars. Whether in foreign armies or police forces, Sikhs are recognized everywhere by their hair and appearance.

He said it is extremely painful that yesterday, Raja Warring placed his hands on the heads of two children, grabbed their hair, and made strange gestures, an act that is highly condemnable. Dr. Nijjar appealed to Sri Akal Takht Sahib to take serious notice of this incident.

He prayed that such shameful acts never occur again in the future. He also appealed to the entire Sikh community that until Raja Warring publicly apologizes for his mistake and Akal Takht Sahib grants him forgiveness, he should be completely socially boycotted.
