Chairman of the Amritsar Improvement Trust and Aam Aadmi Party In-charge for the North Assembly Constituency, Karamjit Singh Rintu, today inaugurated the development work of Majitha Road, one of the city’s main thoroughfares. Speaking on the occasion, Rintu said that Majitha Road is among the most important roads of Amritsar city, benefiting both residents and visitors.
The improved connectivity will also boost local businesses and trade. He added that development work is being rapidly carried out in every area of the North Assembly Constituency, ensuring that no locality is left undeveloped.
Rintu mentioned that he has been personally visiting different areas to listen to people’s grievances and is ensuring that their problems are resolved promptly. He further said that the Amritsar Improvement Trust is leaving no gap in implementing development works.
Approvals have been granted for all pending works under various schemes of the Trust, and these projects will commence soon. He emphasized that all unfinished roads in the North Assembly Constituency are being repaired and strengthened with premix, and this roadwork will continue actively for the next month.
Karamjit Singh Rintu expressed gratitude to AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab In-charge Manish Sisodia, and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for allocating crores of rupees under the “Rangla Punjab Scheme” for development in every assembly constituency. He stated that a fund of ₹5 crore has already been sanctioned for the North Assembly Constituency, under which several projects have been initiated. Rintu reaffirmed that there is no shortage of development funds from the Punjab Government.
