Kuljit Singh Randhawa Lays Foundation Stone of Major Water Supply Project for Villages Humbra and Hansala

Continuing the commitment to strengthen basic amenities in rural areas, MLA Derabassi, Kuljit Singh Randhawa today laid the foundation stone of major water supply project for villages Humbra and Hansala under the NABARD-30 Scheme, with a total outlay of Rs 49.29 lakh at Humbra. The project includes installation of a 200 mm bore tubewell 235 metres deep, construction of a pump chamber, erection of a 25,000-litre capacity water tank, laying of approximately 700 metres of PVC pipeline, and providing 124 household water connections.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that the project reflects the Punjab Government’s dedicated efforts to provide clean and safe drinking water to every household in rural areas. He added that ensuring reliable water supply and improved sanitation facilities remain among the top priorities of the government.

He further mentioned that development of basic infrastructure in the villages is being carried out in a planned and time-bound manner to enhance the quality of life for residents. On this occasion, the entire village community thanked MLA Randhawa for fulfilling the ten-year demand.

During the foundation stone ceremony, prominent local representatives, Block President, Mrs. Jaspal Kaur (Sarpanch Humbra), Mrs. Saverno Kaur (Sarpanch Hansala), members of the entire panchayat, and officials from the Water Supply and Sanitation Department were also present.
